SEPTEMBER 13th - AGM and NEW PROJECT LAUNCH

The start of a new year for our Branch with the commencement of our 2014-15 Programme and election of Committee members.  Also subscriptions will be due.

A NEW PROJECT - “Travelling Books”

The Branch committee have been trialling this  project since January and our Books will be on show for you to look at.

For those of you who are interested in joining in (19 so far), we will have some ideas to share and discuss.  You will not be working alone but in groups of 6 so that you can encourage each other to try something new.  If you cannot get to the meeting but would be interested in taking part please let me know and I can send some information.

Below are some pages that have already been completed in the current books – a wide variety of themes, designs, techniques and stitches.

AUGUST 2nd - NATIONAL STITCH DAY AT ORMSKIRK LIBRARY

Thanks to 6 of our members – Anne Baldwin, Judith Bradshaw, Angela McLarnon, Deborah McLarnon-Riches, Kay Kellaway and myself  – from 10a.m to 2p.m we were very busy answering questions, demonstrating stitches and talking about some of the work on display.

More importantly we had a lot of visitors who stopped to try some stitching and many of them took away the short introductory programme for our new year events so we do hope they come to see us soon.
