Alice Colson designs fabrics and trimmings for fashion and interiors. Her current collection is a digital interpretation of a vintage hand embroidery technique creating layers of stitches, which are hand finished to reveal stitch structure, joyful colour mixes and hidden patterns. Inspired by a love of surface texture and drawing her collection features circles, squares and floral motifs.
PRIOR TO THIS TALK
WE WILL BE HOLDING THE FIRST OF OUR SIT & STITCH SESSIONS FROM 12.30a.m
If you are a beginner or newer member and want to learn some stitch techniques OR if you are more experienced and would be prepared to share your knowledge, or want to get on with some personal stitching, we hope to provide space to spread out and relax while doing something we all love – STITCHING.
